Congratulations to the Chantilly Academy website and school website administrator Ms. Bonnie Wannett. The Chantilly academy website was recognized as 'Best of the Web' for 2021!

The Best of the Web Awards annually recognizes three elementary schools, one middle school, one secondary or high school, and one special center or academy.

Current and prospective students (and their parents) appreciate the detailed information Bonnie Wannett includes on webpages featuring the Academy’s 29 skills-based courses. For example, the Academy's Dental Careers course webpage welcomes readers with a video from the instructor, a course description, a list of certifications offered, examples of student career pathways, and a list of industry connections and program partnerships. In addition, a registration page offers a 5-minutes virtual open house, as well as videos from both staff and current students, who speak of the benefits of taking Academy courses.

Members of the central office web team and one of the FCPS photographers surprised Ms. Wannett, where she was presented with a certificate and a crystal glass trophy in front of her entire staff. At the monthly school curator's webchat, the Chantilly Academy website was proudly displayed and Ms. Wannett was formally recognized in front of many of her FCPS school curator colleagues.
