Congrats!
Recently, eleven students from the Teachers for Tomorrow course earned a guaranteed job or interview with Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)! Taking a major step in following their career pathway in becoming a professional teacher--these students worked hard including the completion of a practicum experience and professional interviews.
A Letter of Intent signifies a commitment by FCPS to offer the recipient a guaranteed interview for a teaching position with FCPS. Letter of Intent recipients must be enrolled in an accredited collegiate teacher preparation program and must be at least sophomore standing to obtain an interview. Interviews will be held during our annual December FCPS Back2Fairfax Teacher Seminar event. Individuals who interview successfully will receive a recruitment contract for future employment as an FCPS teacher.
A Recruitment Contract is a commitment from FCPS to offer a full-time teaching position upon successful completion of a teacher preparation program that leads to teacher licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
