Oracle Level 1 (Year One) SQL Course Description
Students will learn to analyze business scenarios, create data models including ERD modeling. They will learn Structured Query Language (SQL) including how to write queries, manage data and understand transactions. They will be introduced to Oracle’s Procedural Language extension to / Structured Query Language (PL/SQL). Students will learn Cyber Security principles using Oracle’s security measures. Students will implement their own database design (data model) by creating a physical database using SQL. Students have the opportunity to take the Oracle Database Foundations(1Z0-006) certification exam.
Oracle Level 2 (Year Two) PL/SQL Course Description
The PL/SQL course covers SQL as well as PL/SQL, Oracle’s proprietary procedural language extension to SQL. Through a hands-on approach, students will build on their foundational knowledge of SQL and will learn procedural logic (PL/SQL) constructs such as variables, constants, conditional statements, constraints and iterative controls. Students have the opportunity to take the Oracle Database SQL (1Z0-071) certification exam. Internships may be available for students who excel in this course.
